KG out for playoffs?
According to Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers, it's very unlikely that Kevin Garnett will play in the post-season.
The road to repeating as NBA champions would have been extremely difficult for the Celtics even if Garnett were healthy. Without him, it's almost impossible.
The Bulls aren't taking the Celtics word for it though.
"It's not official that he's out for the entire playoffs, but it's official as far as I'm concerned," Rivers said before practice at the team's workout facility. "I just don't see how. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it."After adding KG and Ray Allen during the 2007 off-season, the Celtics went from worst to first and won their first NBA championship since 1986.

"Knowing him, he'll play if his leg is broke," Chicago guard Derrick Rose said.Although Garnett's knee is worse this week than last week according to Rivers, he's expected KG to be fine long-term.
"I'm not going to think that much into it," Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro said. "I'm going to think about what we need to do and prepare either way."
"We are confident that he is going to be absolutely fine, 100 percent, over the long term," Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck said. "The short term is much less clear at this point."However, he is not getting any younger.
