Knicks to take Curry at 8, Rubio over Griffin?

The New York Knicks have the eighth overall pick in this year's NBA draft although Tuesday's NBA draft lottery could change that.

Per Marc Berman of the New York Post, there is a good chance that the Knicks will take Davidson sharpshooter Stephen Curry with the eight overall pick.
"I think there are better players than Curry higher in the draft, but maybe not a better fit for D'Antoni's system," a league executive said.
However, if the Knicks win the draft lottery, the Knicks would prefer Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio over Oklahoma forward Blake Griffin, who is the consensus top player in this year's draft, according to Berman.
"You can compare [Rubio] to Pistol Pete, he does so many things with the ball," a league executive said.
Other players on the Knicks' radar include Brandon Jennings, Tyreke Evans, Ty Lawson, Jonny Flynn, Gerald Henderson and Jrue Holiday.

Curry, who's father Dell is currently an executive with the Charlotte Bobcats and played in the NBA from 1986 to 2002, averaged 25.3 points per game in his three-year college career and is Davidson's all-time leading scorer. He shot 41.2 percent from three-point range in his career.
