The Monday Fix

Giants rookie wide receiver Ramses Barden played AAU basketball with Lakers' Jordan Farmar, the Celtics' Gabe Pruitt, the Pistons' Amir Johnson and UCLA's Josh Shipp.

Houston Rockets guard Aaron Brooks dropped 34 on the Lakers as the Yao-less Rockets beat the Lakers to even the series. The Rockets had as much as a 29-point lead in the game.

Hornets PG Chris Paul plans on resting quite a bit this off-season - presumably until the birth of his son (due May 24). "I just want my body to recuperate," Paul said, regarding his summer plans. "It has been non-stop since the Olympics. I'll be at home all summer long resting. I say I'm going to do that, but I'd probably go shoot. I'm going to limit myself from running, but there is nothing wrong with shooting."

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban tells Kenyon Martin's mother that K-Mart is a "thug". As Cuban was leaving the court, fans yelled about the Nuggets being "thugs," so Cuban said to Martin's mother: "That includes your son," according to the Denver Post.

In his return from a game three suspension, Lakers PG Derek Fisher was ineffective in game four (1-4 from field).

With all the shooters on the team, it was Glen "Big Baby" Davis that hit the jumper at the buzzer in the Celtics one-point win over the Magic.
