Evan Turner is going pro

As expected, Ohio State guard Evan Turner has declared himself eligible for the 2010 NBA Draft.

Turner, who won the Naismith Player of the Year award, is projected by most to be the second overall pick in the draft behind Kentucky freshman John Wall.

"This is the toughest thing I had to do," Turner said, per The Cleveland Leader. "But I was blessed with this decision and I have a great opportunity. I'm going to turn a leaf over and go on to the next stage of my life."

As a junior, Turner averaged 20.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game while shooting nearly 52 percent from the field.
