Tyreke Evans clocked at 130 mph
This Memorial Day will be memorable for Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans.
Per Melody Gutierrez of the Sacramento Bee, Evans was pulled over and charged with reckless driving after being clocked at "more than 100 mph" on the highway (I-80). And since Evans' windows were tinted, police drew their guns before Evans and his friend got out of his Mercedes.
But, exactly how fast over 100 mph was Evans driving?
Apparently, as fast as 130 mph, per the Sacramento Bee.
Through his Twitter account, Evans apologized and says that he's learned his lesson.
"Apologies to fans, the Kings and my fam for bad decision making. Driving is a privilege & speeding was a mistake. I've def learned my lesson."
Evans, who won the rookie of the year award, became the fourth NBA player to average 20 points, five rebounds and five assists per game as a rookie. The other three: Michael Jordan, Oscar Robertson and LeBron James.
